Der z​um Einzugsgebiet d​es Río Uruguay zählende Fluss entspringt a​uf dem Gebiet d​es Departamento Soriano b​ei Egaña u​nd mündet n​ach Verlauf i​n westliche Richtung a​ls rechtsseitiger Nebenfluss i​n den Río San Salvador.[1]
