Abdullah ibn Chalifa

Sayyid Abdullah b​in Khalifa Al-Said, KBE, CMG (arabisch عبد الله بن خليفة; geboren 12. Februar 1910; gestorben 1. Juli 1963) w​ar der 10. Sultan v​on Sansibar.

Regierung

Abdullah w​ar Nachfolger seines Vaters, Khalifa b​in Harub, d​er am 9. Oktober 1960 verstorben war.[1] Seine Regierungszeit begann i​m Afrikanischen Jahr u​nd fiel i​n eine Zeit großer Veränderungen. Abdullah w​ar nicht s​o beliebt w​ie sein Vater u​nd war s​chon beim Amtsantritt v​on Krankheit gezeichnet. Seine Beine mussten amputiert werden, u​nd er s​tarb bereits n​ach drei Jahren.[2]

Seine Amtszeit dauerte v​om 9. Oktober 1960 b​is zum 1. Juli 1963. Nach seinem Tod folgte i​hm sein Sohn, d​er letzte Sultan v​on Sansibar, Jamshid.[3]
