Østerdalen
Østerdalen ist eine Landschaft in Østlandet in Norwegen. Es ist ein Tal in der Provinz Innlandet, das sich entlang dem Fluss Glomma von Røros nach Elverum erstreckt. Südlich von Elverum wird das Tal durch Glåmdalen fortgesetzt. Die größten Seitentäler sind Rendal, Folldal und Atndal. Es ist das größte Tal Südnorwegens.
Ehemalige Provinz Hedmark: im Tal liegende Kommunen
Zur Landschaft Østerdalen gehören die Kommunen Alvdal, Åmot, Elverum, Engerdal, Folldal, Os, Rendalen, Stor-Elvdal, Trysil und Tynset. Das Tal ist mit Föhren stark bewaldet und gehört zu den am stärksten bewaldeten Gebieten Norwegens. Am häufigsten ist hier die Rentierflechte vertreten.
