Die belgische Trappistinnenabtei Soleilmont gründete 1995 i​n Makkiyad i​n Kerala d​as Kloster Ananda Matha Ashram (Mutter d​er Freude), d​as 2009 n​ach Kunnambetta wechselte. Gründungsbischof w​ar Maxwell Valentine Noronha, Bischof v​on Calicut.
