The Virgin Mary Had A Baby Boy (Die Jungfrau Maria bekam einen kleinen Sohn / Die Jungfrau Maria hatte einen kleinen Jungen usw.) oder Glorious Kingdom ist ein traditionelles englisches Weihnachtslied von den Westindischen Inseln.

Das Calypso-Weihnachtslied wurde erstmals erwähnt von Edric Connor (1913–1968) aus Trinidad in seinem 1945 erschienenen Buch West Indian Spirituals und Folk Tunes. Wie die Herausgeber des Shorter New Oxford Book of Carols anmerken, enthält der Refrain „mächtige Echos aus Afrika“.[1]

Es gibt zahlreiche Einspielungen und Arrangements des Liedes. Harry Belafonte und die US-amerikanische Folk-Gruppe The Weavers haben es unter anderem eingespielt. Eine Arrangement-Fassung stammt von Wolfgang Kelber.[2]
