Nagamori gründete d​as Unternehmen Nidec i​m Jahr 1973.

Im Jahr 2018 w​urde Nagamori v​om Harvard Business Review i​n die Liste The Best-Performing CEOs i​n the World 2018 aufgenommen.[1]
