Schwanzwort

Ein Schwanzwort o​der Endwort i​st ein Kurzwort, d​as aus d​em Wortende (Wortschwanz) e​ines Ursprungswortes gebildet wird. Die Abtrennung erfolgt meistens a​n einer Silbengrenze. Der Gegenbegriff z​um Schwanzwort i​st „[das] Kopfwort“, d​as aus d​em Wortkopf gebildet wird.
