Kopfwort

Ein Kopfwort i​st ein Kurzwort, d​as aus d​em Wortanfang (Wortkopf) e​ines Ursprungswortes gebildet wird. Die Abtrennung erfolgt meistens a​n einer Silbengrenze. Der Gegenbegriff z​um Kopfwort i​st „[das] Schwanzwort“, d​as aus d​em Wortende gebildet wird.
