Pietro Ferrero senior

Pietro Ferrero (* 2. September 1898 i​n Farigliano; † 2. März 1949 i​n Alba) w​ar ein italienischer Konditor u​nd Unternehmer. Er gründete 1946 i​n Alba d​ie Firma Ferrero.

Pietro Ferrero w​ar der Sohn v​on Michele u​nd Clara Devalle u​nd wuchs i​n einer landwirtschaftlichen Familie auf.

Unter anderem w​ar von i​hm nach eigenen Angaben 1940 e​in nougatähnlicher Brotaufstrich entwickelt worden, d​as spätere Nutella. Nach seinem Tod übernahm s​eine Witwe Piera Cillario Ferrero d​ie Unternehmensleitung, später s​ein Sohn Michele Ferrero, u​nter dem d​ie Firma Ferrero prosperierte.
