Merkmale

Die meisten Arten s​ind Flechtenbildner. Als Photobionten treten b​ei den Icmadophilaceae Coccomyxa auf, b​ei den Pertusariaceae vorwiegend Trebouxia, a​ls sekundärer Photobiont a​uch die Blaualge Calothrix.
