Julius August Bewer
Julius August Bewer (* 28. August 1877 in Ratingen; † 1. September 1953 in New York City) war ein deutscher evangelischer Theologe.
Leben
Er ging 1895 in die USA und studierte am Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York, Basel, Halle an der Saale und Berlin. Er lehrte seit 1902 als Professor für Altes Testament und semitische Philologie und war von 1937 bis 1953 Mitglied des Revision Comittee of the American Standard Version of the Bible.
