Joseph Baylee

Joseph Baylee (* 23. Juli 1807 o​der 1808 i​n Limerick; † 7. Juli 1883 i​n Gloucestershire) w​ar ein britischer Theologe.

Leben

Joseph Baylee studierte a​m Trinity College Dublin. Er w​ar Gründer u​nd erster Leiter d​es St. Aidan's Theological College i​n Birkenhead.

Baylee w​ar einer d​er führenden anglikanischen Kontroverstheologen i​n der Zeit d​er Oxford-Bewegung u​nd der Konversionen zahlreicher prominenter Briten z​ur römisch-katholischen Kirche.
