Josep Tolosa
Josep Tolosa i Carreras (kastilisch José Tolosa y Carreras, * 20. November 1846 in Girona; † 28. April 1916 in Barcelona) war ein spanischer Schachspieler, Schachkomponist, Journalist und Sachbuchautor. Er stammte aus Katalonien.

Er war Schüler von Joan Carbó i Batlle, und Lehrer von Josep Paluzie i Lucena und Valentí Marín i Llovet. Er spielte Schach im Café del Recreo und im Cafè Anglès und schrieb für die Zeitschriften Teoría y práctica del ajedrez, La Ilustración und Sportsmen’s Club. Josep Paluzie i Lucena veröffentlichte im Jahr 1905 ein Lehrbuch für Schachanfänger, welches er José Tolosa y Carreras widmete.[1]
