Johann Wilhelm Gehring
Johann Wilhelm Gehring (* 1721; † 1787 in Rudolstadt) war ein Komponist und Musiker. Er war Kapellmeister der Hofkapelle in Rudolstadt von 1771 bis 1787.
Gehring war ein bedeutender Fagottist. Nach dem Tod von Georg Gebel trat er dessen Nachfolge als fürstlich schwarzburgischer Kapellmeister an. Gehring schuf auch einige Kompositionen, die jedoch über das Manuskriptstadium nicht hinaus gelangten. Sein in Rudolstadt geborener Sohn Ludwig Gehring (* um 1762; † 1821) war Flötist am Hoforchester in Wien.
