Hormizd ist ein persischer Name und gleichbedeutend mit Ahura Mazda. Hormizd hießen unter anderem folgende Großkönige des persischen Sassanidenreichs:

Hormizd I. (270/72–273);
Hormizd II. (302–309);
Hormizd III. (457–459);
Hormizd IV. (579–590);
Hormizd V. (630–632).
