Domingos de Sousa nahm an den Olympischen Sommerspielen 1936 in Berlin mit seinem Pferd Merle Blanc teil. Während er im Einzelwettkampf den 16. Platz belegte konnte er im Mannschaftswettbewerb mit José Beltrão und Luís Silva die Bronzemedaille gewinnen.
