Als Datenbankobjekt wird ein Objekt, das innerhalb einer Datenbank gespeichert wird, bezeichnet. Beispiele von Datenbankobjekten sind:

- Tabelle
- Datenbankindex
- View
- Synonym
- Alias
- Stored Procedure
- Stored Function
- Trigger
- Constraint
- User, Schema, Berechtigungen
Ein Datensatz oder Tupel in einer Tabelle kann zwar ein Objekt im Sinne objektorientierter Programmierung sein, gilt aber nicht als Datenbankobjekt. Datenbankobjekte stellen vielmehr das Gerüst zur Speicherung und Abfrage von Daten der Datenbank dar.
