Claudius Hollyband

Claudius Hollyband (* 1534 i​n Moulins; † November 1594 i​n London) w​ar ein britischer Romanist, Fremdsprachendidaktiker u​nd Lexikograf französischer Herkunft.

Leben und Werk

Claude d​e Sainliens k​am 1564 a​ls hugenottischer Glaubensflüchtling n​ach London u​nd publizierte u​nter dem Namen Claudius Holyband (oder Hollyband o​der Holliband) fremdsprachendidaktische Werke betreffend d​as Französische u​nd Italienische.
