Chris Hedges
Chris Hedges (* 18. September 1956 in St. Johnsbury) ist ein US-amerikanischer Journalist und Autor.

Leben
Hedges ist der Sohn eines presbyterianischen Predigers. Er studierte an der Colgate University und der Harvard Divinity School. Hedges spezialisierte sich auf amerikanische und nahöstliche Politik und Gesellschaft. Von 1990 bis 2005 arbeitete er als Auslandskorrespondent für die New York Times. Im Jahr 2002 wurde er mit seinem Team mit dem Pulitzer-Preis für erklärende Berichterstattung im Hinblick auf den globalen Terrorismus ausgezeichnet.
Hedges ist Kolumnist des Onlinemagazins Truthdig, das wöchentlich eine Kolumne von ihm veröffentlicht.[1]
Chris Hedges ist in zweiter Ehe verheiratet und Vater von insgesamt vier Kindern.[2]
