Eine Burgmauer ist die Befestigung einer Burg. Eine solche Mauer dient sowohl zum militärischen Schutz, als auch als Abgrenzungsmittel gegenüber anderen Regionen, wird heute allerdings meist nur zu Demonstrationszwecken verwendet. Es gibt sie in folgenden Konstruktionsformen:
