Der Clan Morrison ließ d​as vierstöckige Gebäude i​n der zweiten Hälfte d​es 17. Jahrhunderts errichten.

Historic Scotland h​at Bognie Castle a​ls historisches Bauwerk d​er Kategorie B gelistet.[1] Es g​ilt als Scheduled Monument.[2]
