Geschichte
Zwischen dem 12. und dem 16. Jahrhundert befand sich hier die Zisterziensermönchsabtei Rushen Abbey, deren Ruinen noch heute sichtbar sind.

Direkt südlich des Ortes befindet sich der Ronaldsway-Flughafen Isle of Man, Sitz der Fluggesellschaft Citywing.
