Im Südosten von Ghana, um Amedzofe (Amajofe), wird Avatime von etwa 24.000 (2003) Menschen gesprochen. Alternative Namen sind Afatime, Sideme und Sia. Die am nächsten verwandten Sprachen sind Nyangbo und Tafi.
