Der etwa 18 km lange Fluss entspringt in der Cuchilla de Dionisio. Von dort fließt er durch das Departamento Treinta y Tres mündet schließlich in den Río Olimar. Er gehört zum Einzugsgebiet des Laguna-Merín-Beckens.
