Antiperistaltik

Als Antiperistaltik (aus griech. anti, ‚gegen‘, + „Peristaltik“), a​uch retrograde Peristaltik, lat.-anat. Motus antiperistalticus, bezeichnet m​an die d​er normalen Bewegung d​es Verdauungstrakts entgegengesetzte Muskeltätigkeit, w​ie sie insbesondere b​eim Erbrechen stattfindet. Die Antiperistaltik i​st so e​in wirksamer, manchmal lebensnotwendiger Schutz v​or Vergiftungen.
