Amitav Acharya
Amitav Acharya (* 26. Juni 1962 in Jagatsinghapur[1]) ist ein indischer Politikwissenschaftler, der an der American University forscht und lehrt. Sein Fachgebiet sind die Internationalen Beziehungen.[2] 2014/15 amtierte er als Präsident der International Studies Association (ISA)[3] und war der erste nichtwestliche Wissenschaftler in dieser Funktion.
Amitav Acharya (2013)
Bevor er an die American University kam, war er Professor an der York University in Toronto und der University of Bristol in Großbritannien. Er war Gastprofessor an verschiedenen Hochschulen, unter anderem auch Inhaber der ersten Nelson-Mandela-Gastprofessur für internationale Beziehungen an der Rhodes University.
