Modus
Die 2. Bundesliga wurde in einer Einfachrunde mit Hin- und Rückspiel ausgespielt, somit hatte jedes Team 16 Spiele zu absolvieren. Eine feste Auf- und Abstiegsregelung zur 1. Bundesliga bzw. Regionalliga gab es damals noch nicht. Für einen Sieg gab es zwei Punkte.
