Die Île a​ux Cocos i​st heute e​in Naturreservat, i​n dem Seeschwalben w​ie der Schlankschnabelnoddi u​nd die Australseeschwalbe heimisch sind. Rund u​m das unbewohnte Eiland existieren Korallenriffe.
