Yat Siu

Yat Siu (* 1973 in Wien) ist ein Unternehmer und Angel Investor wohnhaft in Hongkong.[1]

Leben

Yat Siu wuchs in Wien auf. Yat Siu studierte am Wiener Konservatorium, wo er bis 18 Klavier und Cello lernte.[2][3] Er fing an Musiksoftware zu programmieren. Ab 1990, während seiner Schulzeit, hatte er einen Job bei Atari.[4] Er zog in die USA.[5][6] Er hat einen Abschluss an der Boston University.[7] 1995 zog er nach Hong Kong.[8] Yat Siu gründete dort HKOnline, Hong Kongs ersten Internetprovider und verkaufte diesen 2009 an IBM.[9][10] Er ist der Gründer der Mobile-Games-Unternehmen Outblaze und Animoca Brands sowie Berater bei der British Academy of Film and Television Arts und Binances Liechtenstein Cryptoassets Exchange.[11][12][13] Er wurde mit dem „DHL SCMP Business Award“ ausgezeichnet und „Global Leader of Tomorrow“ sowie „Young Global Leader“ durch das World Economic Forum, sowie dem Talent Unleashed Awards 2016 geehrt.[14][15][16] Er ist Director des Asian Youth Orchestra und Board of Director bei "Dalton Learning Lab".[17] Yat Siu ist verheiratet und hat drei Kinder.[18]
