USS Skipjack

Drei U-Boote der United States Navy wurden nach dem Echten Bonito, der im englischen Sprachgebrauch Skipjack genannt wird, auf den Namen USS Skipjack getauft:

USS Skipjack (SS-24), wurde in E-1 umbenannt
USS Skipjack (SS-184), ein Boot der Salmon-Klasse, das vor und in den ersten Jahren des Zweiten Weltkriegs eingesetzt wurde
USS Skipjack (SSN-585), das Typschiff der Skipjack-Klasse von Atom-U-Booten
