Thomas F. X. Noble

Thomas F. X. Noble (* 5. Oktober 1947) ist ein US-amerikanischer Historiker. Er erwarb seinen Bachelor in Geschichte von der Ohio University und seinem M.A. und Ph.D. 1974 in mittelalterlicher Geschichte an der Michigan State University.[1] Er war Professor für Geschichte an der University of Notre Dame. Seine Studien hatten wesentlichen Anteil an einem besseren Verständnis für die Karolingerzeit, der frühmittelalterlichen Geschichte des Papsttums und der Stadt Rom.
