Sechkas Name erscheint a​uf Tonsiegeln i​m Grab d​er königlichen Gemahlinnen Herneith u​nd Meritneith. Er i​st der e​rste Beamte, d​er den Titel e​ines Hatia („Gaufürst“/„Bürgermeister“) trägt. Daneben übte e​r die Funktion e​ines Sem a​us und bekleidete d​as Amt d​es Stadtrates (nḏ-hr).
