Preakness Stakes
Das The Preakness Stakes ist ein Pferderennen, das seit 1873 auf der Pimlico-Rennbahn in Baltimore (Maryland) stattfindet. Das Gruppe I-Rennen ist das zweite Rennen der US-amerikanischenTriple Crown. Startberechtigt sind nur dreijährige Vollblüter, das Rennen wird auf der Distanz 1-3/16 Meilen (ca. 1.910 Meter) gelaufen und wird am dritten Samstag im Mai ausgetragen.
