Uziel begann als Drehbuchautor für das Videospiel Mortal Kombat: Rebirth (2010) und wechselte dann in das Drehbuchschreiben für Hollywood-Produktionen. 2017 führte er erstmals Regie und inszenierte Shimmer Lake.
