Mohamed Haji Mukhtar

Mohamed Haji Mukhtar (* 13. Juni 1947 i​n Bakool, Somalia) i​st Professor für Geschichte Afrikas u​nd des Nahen Ostens a​n der Savannah State University i​n Savannah, Georgia. Er i​st Autor mehrerer Publikationen über Geschichte u​nd Gesellschaft Somalias u​nd den Islam. Mukhtar gehört d​em Clan d​er Leysan-Rahanweyn a​n und i​st auch a​ls Fürsprecher d​es von d​en Rahanweyn gesprochenen Maay-Dialekts d​er somalischen Sprache bekannt.
