Das Modbook ist aus dem MacBook in der mittleren Ausstattungsvariante hergestellt und benutzt Technologien von Wacom und Axiotron. Durch die Verwendung von Wacom Technologie wird auf das in Mac OS X integrierte Handschriftenerkennungssystem Inkwell zugegriffen.
