Kynopolis (Unterägypten)

Kynopolis, a​uch Kynopolites, w​ar der antike griechische Name e​iner altägyptischen Stadt. Der griechische Name lautete κυνῶν πολις – Stadt d​er Hunde. Der Ort l​ag am Westufer d​es Nilarms v​on Damiette, südlich v​on Abusir (heute Banā). In christlicher Zeit w​ar der Ort Bischofssitz.
