Das Journal of the Chemical Society, üblicherweise mit J. Chem. Soc. abgekürzt, war eine Fachzeitschrift für Chemie, die von 1849 bis 1877 und von 1926 bis 1965 von der Chemical Society in London herausgegeben wurde.

Für ungeprüfte Kurzmitteilungen wurden fortan die Chemical Communications publiziert, die die Zeitschriftenreihe Proceedings of the Chemical Society ablösten:

Einzelnachweise
- Abkürzung "ns" für "new series", auch "second series", eine Interims-Nummerierung zur durchgängigen Nummerierung ("entire series"); 1876 und 1877 entfiel jegliche Nummerierung der zweiteiligen Jahresbände. Nachträglich wurden hierfür Vol. 29 und 30 (1876) sowie Vol. 31 und 32 (1877) vergeben; Ab Vol. 26 (1873) entfiel der Zusatz "of London" im Zeitschriftentitel.
- Die Bände der Transactions tragen ungerade Nummern, beginnend mit Vol. 33 (1878). Die jährlich zugehörigen Bände der Abstracts tragen ungerade Nummern, beginnend bei Vol. 34 (1878).
