Hypatia (Zeitschrift)

Hypatia. A Journal of Feminist Philosophy ist der Titel einer englischsprachigen, peer-reviewten Zeitschrift für feministische Philosophie. Sie wurde 1986 an der Indiana University Bloomington gegründet und erscheint vierteljährlich bei Wiley-Blackwell in San Francisco.

Die Zeitschrift ist nach der griechischen Philosophin und Mathematikerin Hypathia von Alexandria benannt. Sie versteht sich als Forum für hervorragende aktuelle Arbeiten auf dem Gebiet der feministischen Philosophie. Die erste Ausgabe erschien am 14. April 1986.[1] Chefredakteurin ist Sally Scholz, Professorin für Philosophie an der Villanova University.[2]

Seit 2012 werden Buchrezensionen auf der Open-Access-Plattform Hypatia Reviews Online veröffentlicht.
