HMS Swordfish

Mehrere Schiffe d​er britischen Royal Navy trugen d​en Namen HMS Swordfish n​ach dem Schwertfisch

  • Die erste Swordfish war ein Zerstörer mit 330 Tonnen, der 1895 vom Stapel lief und 1910 verkauft wurde.
  • Die zweite Swordfish lief 1916 als das U-Boot S1 vom Stapel. Sie wurde 1917 in ein Patrouillenboot umgebaut und in Swordfish umbenannt.
  • Die dritte Swordfish war ein U-Boot der S-Klasse, das 1931 vom Stapel lief und 1940 mit 40 Mann Besatzung im Ärmelkanal spurlos verschwand. Als das Wrack 1983 bei der Isle of Wight entdeckt wurde, stellte sich heraus, dass die Swordfish auf eine Mine gelaufen war.
