Da zur selben Zeit die Delta-Leoniden aktiv sind, deren Radiant sich unweit vom Radianten der Februar-Leoniden befindet, benötigt man ein wenig Erfahrung, um die Meteore dieser beiden Meteorströme auseinanderzuhalten.
