Europe Card Bus
Der Europe Card Bus (ECB oder auch ECB-Bus, deutsch auch Einfach-Europaformat-Computer-Baugruppen genannt[1]) ist ein Bus-System, das im Jahre 1977 von der Firma Kontron hauptsächlich für die 8-Bit-Mikroprozessor-Familien Zilog Z80, Intel 8080 und Intel 8085 entwickelt wurde.
Mechanisch ist der ECB meist als Backplane-Leiterplatte in einem 19-Zoll-Baugruppenträger ausgeführt. Die Steckkarten haben Europaformat (100 mm × 160 mm) und nutzen zwei- bzw. dreireihige Steckverbinder der Ausführung nach DIN 41612.
