Eloise (Vorname)
Eloise ist ein weiblicher Vorname, eine Nebenform von Heloise. Er ist althochdeutschen Ursprungs und bedeutet „die Gesunde“, auch „gesundes Holz“.[1]
Der Name wird zurückgeführt auf das germanische Helewidis[2], seinerseits eine Abwandlung von Heiluid, zusammengesetzt aus Heil (Glück, Reichtum, Gesundheit) und Vid (weit, groß).[3][4]
