Blockbuster (Begriffsklärung)

Ein Blockbuster (engl. Bedeutung etwa „Wohnblockknacker“) ist ein englischer Ausdruck für eine Fliegerbombe (Luftmine) im Zweiten Weltkrieg, die soviel Sprengstoff enthielt, dass sie ganze Häuserblocks zerstören konnte. Später wurde die konkrete Wortbedeutung übertragen auf:
