Der Begriff Blütenpflanzen bezeichnet:
- im weiteren Sinn die Samenpflanzen (Spermatophytina), also
- die Nacktsamer (Gymnospermae) (z. B. Nadelbäume) und
- die Bedecktsamer (Angiospermae oder Magnoliopsida),
- oder aber, hiervon abweichend,
- nur die Bedecktsamer.
