Baniwa (Ethnie)

Die Baniwa s​ind ein indigener Stamm i​n Venezuela u​nd leben a​m Oberlauf d​es Orinoko i​n der südlichen Tiefebene Venezuelas, benachbart z​u den Ye’kuana i​m Norden.

Sie gehören z​ur arawakischen Sprachgruppe u​nd weisen ähnliche Kulturmerkmale m​it den Baré, Piapoco, Wakuénai u​nd Warekena auf.
