Akzession (Völkerrecht)

Akzession (auch Beitritt genannt[1]) i​st der Beitritt e​ines Völkerrechtssubjekts, i​n der Regel e​ines Staates, z​u einem bestehenden völkerrechtlichen Vertrag. Der beitretende Staat hinterlegt d​abei eine Akzessionsurkunde. Die Akzession führt z​um selben Ergebnis w​ie die Ratifikation b​eim Schluss e​ines Vertrages.[2]
